Scope of Application
1. Traditional hydraulic automatic transmissions (AT) 4AT/5AT/6AT/8AT/9AT, etc., most fuel-powered passenger cars, SUVs, and commercial vehicles. This is the primary application scenario for ATF.
2. Some wet dual-clutch transmissions (DCTs): Wet DCTs require specialized automatic transmission fluid for their internal hydraulic control module and clutch cooling and lubrication; dry DCTs only require gear oil and do not use ATF.
3. CVTs (Continuously Variable Transmissions): Require specialized CVT transmission fluid (a derivative of ATF, with a special friction formula; mixing with regular AT oil is strictly prohibited).
